Today was the big poker tournament and I am so glad it has come and gone, its amazing how exhausting something like that is to set up and execute. However, the exhaustion was worth the effort, it ran super smooth and yeilded great results. In total we had 37 participants and raised an awesome $1000.00, which is great because my goal was $600.00 which I exceeded my goals and expectations. So after a grueling loooooonnnngggg wait in the OR waiting room, 10 hours to be exact, the doctor came out with the great news that the surgery was a success and 99% of the tumor was removed! The road to normality for my father has begun and will be long but thank god he is alive and will come out of this ok.

Each minute felt like an hour, each hour felt like a day, but at the end of it all I'd wait ten times over to hear the news that we recieved!

So this is day one of my journy to help save lives by riding miles to raise money! Together working with the Team in Training program and the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society I am raising money to save lives.

How you ask? Well the program known as Team in Training is training me to compete in a 100 mile bike in West Vrigina and in return I have plegded to raise $3600 for them! This will be my 2nd 100 mile bike ride and I can't wait. I will be keep blogs on how my training is going, with pictures ...
